somo-v Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS)

ABUS uses ultrasound (sound waves) at a safe frequency to create images of the breast tissue. Ultrasound is generally used as a follow-up diagnostic procedure after a suspicious mammogram. It is also sometimes used as a screening method to find tumors not visible with mammography in women who have dense breasts.
